He returned to Dundalk in 1948, working on construction for the Seeley Bros. Later, he drove a cement truck for Seeley & Arnill until 1977 when he retired early due to health problems. In 1947 he married Elenore Scace. The couple had three sons - Ronald, Donald and Wayne, and 1 daughter, Sharon, all of which survive. He is also survived by two brothers, Cliff and Bill, and a sister, Marguerite. Jack was predeceased by his father in 1933 and his mother in 1987. A complete funeral service was held at the McMillan and Jack Funeral Home, Dundalk, on November 23, 1989, under the direction of Rev. Lloyd Martin of Dundalk United Church. Mrs. Ruth Moore was the organist. Interment was at Swinton Park Cemetery. Friends were present from Aurora, Kitchener, Port Hope, Hanover, Mount Forest, Shelburne and Dundalk."
