Alex Stewart, husband of the late Jane Farguharson Stewart, died Friday at London.
Born in Sydenham township, he was the son of Donald and Lettitia Bryan Stewart and was married November 7, 1906 at Leith. His wife predeceased him seven years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary, Mrs. Carl Morrison, Sr., and Laura, Mrs. Jack Knaggs, both of R.R. 1, Owen Sound, two brothers, John of Annan and Daniel of Balaclava, and a sister Emma, Mrs. E. Day of Medicine Hat Sask., 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by three brothers Duncan, William and Edwin, and four sisters, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Sarah and Janet.
Mr. Stewart farmed in St. Vincent township for many years after his marriage and moved to Annan five years ago. He attended the Baptist Church at Balaclava." [newspaper clipping, February 12, 1962]

The bride was the recipient of a large number of useful and costly presents.
