South Durham, Nov. 3 - On Wednesday, Oct 28th, 1908 at7:30 pm the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Greer Walker was the scene of a pretty but quiet wedding
when their second daughter Alma Louisa was united in marriage to Mr.
Wilfred R. Watt, of South Durham.
The ceremony was preformed by Rev. R. C. McConnell of Ulverton.
The bride was daintily gowned in white silk and lace. Miss Lizzie
Walker, sister of the bride acted as bridesmaid and was dressed in pale
green crepe-de-chine. The groom was attended by Mr. John Moore of Lisgar.
After the ceremony and congratulations all repaired to the dining room
where supper was served to about twenty five of the near relatives of
the bride and groom.
The young couple were the recipient of a number of handsome and useful
presents, testifying to the good wishes of their many friends. After a
social evening Mr. and Mrs. Watt drove to their future home accompanied
by the bridesmaid and the best man, also Mr. Warren, Miss Lockie Walker
and Messrs. Maurice and Raymond Watt. Children were: Muriel Aileen Watt-2954, Lyda Watt-2955, Howard Victor Watt-2956, Dorothy Watt-2957, Lorna Thelma Gertrude Watt-2958, Shirley Jean Watt-2959, Christina Watt-2960.
