Services Held For Young Man
John James Colgan of Dundalk entered into eternal rest on June 22, 1975, aged 22 years. Son of Mrs. Ruth (Stewart) Colgan of Dundalk and the late Elmer Colgan, he was born July 7, 1952, in Markdale Hospital. His whole life was spent in Dundalk, where he attended public school. He also attended Grey Highlands Secondary School in Flesherton. A labourer, he had been employed in construction work and by the local Hydro Utilities. He had been baptized in the Presbyterian Church.
Besides his mother he leaves one brother and five sisters: Milford of London; Lenore, Mrs. Fred Westecott, Everett; Bonnie, Mrs. Larry Timbers, Jo-Anne, Mrs. Karl Kutschenreiter, and Elaine, all of Dundalk, and Vicki, Mrs. Gerry Gibson of Toronto.
A private service was conducted in the McMillen and Jack Funeral Home, Dundalk, on June 24 by Rev. Norman Morton of the United Church. Mrs. Eileen Irwin, sang "Abide With Me".
Cemetery. The pall-bearers were Rick Wallace, Bill Harrison, Barry Dunn, Ted Ruigrok, Bob Thompson and Fred Aitken.
Friends attended from Kincardine, Erin, Fort Erie, Lake St. Clair, Toronto, Sudbury, Beachville, Woodstock, Creemore, Everett, Alliston, Shelburne, Proton Station, Feversham, Orangeville, Markdale and Flesherton.
