No. 4, Corbetton. Promptly at 1:30 o'clock the groom took his place under a beautiful decorated arch of evergreens and to the strains of the bridal chorus, played by Miss Della Bollen, of Corbetton, the bride entered the drawing-room, leaning on her father's arm. She looked very charming dressed in white silk tributed with rhinestones and satin and wearing a lovely veil and carrying a beautiful bouquet of roses, carnations, lily-of-the-valley and ferns.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. C. C. McDonald and the guests numbered about fifty were the relatives and immediate friends of the young couple.
After the usual congratulations and the signing of the register, the bride led the way to the dining-room, where a buffet lunch was served.
The happy couple left for Toronto. On their return they will reside on the groom's farm, Lot 9, Con 5 Jessopville. The groom is a former resident of North Keppel and the wedding is of interest to his many friends there and in Owen Sound." In memory of Marge Gardner Patton, October 21, 1995.
You can thank your parents for many things
But a sister is the greatest gift of all.
Sisters share so much the one person
you can tell your secrets to.
The one whose friendship lasts forever.
I miss you everyday, Marge.
It's been a long year. Your sister always,
Helen" [Orangeville Citizen, October 23, 1996]

"PATTON, Marjorie
Forgive me if I ask why thorns live on while roses die.
In loving memory of a special wife, mother and grandmother, Marge Patton who passed away October 21, 1995.
All your hopes and dreams Were quickly taken away
Painfully we watched As it all slipped away
There was no time to tell you How much you were adored
The memory of your being In our hearts is deeply stored
You are cherished in our souls Your laughter and your voice
You were our piece of heaven For which we all rejoiced.
We laugh and smile and live each day, I guess we play our parts
But the pain of losing you so suddenly Still lingers in our hearts
The moment that you left us Our hearts were split in two
The one side filled with memories The other died with you.
We hold you close within our hearts And there you will remain
To walk with us throughout our lives Until we meet again.
Forever remembered, forever missed.
Bruce, Ron, Karen, Taylor & Connor, Debbie, Richard, April & Kelly, Kim, Peter, Kaitlyn & Lauren" [Orangeville Citizen, October 23, 1996]

"PATTON, Marge
Precious memories of a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was taken from us October 21, 1995.
Though tears in my eyes do not
glisten
And my face is not always sad,
There is never a night or morning
I don't think of the love I had.
Not a day do I forget you
In my heart you are always here,
For I love you and miss you
As it ends the second year.
Mom, I never showed you
Assumed you'd always be there
I took your presence for granted
But I always cared
And I miss the love we shared.
I hold you close within my heart
And there you will remain
To walk with me throughout my
life
Until we meet again.
Forever loved, Forever missed Bruce, Ron, Debbie, Kim and families." [Orangeville Citizen, October 22, 1997]

"PATTON, Marge
Taken suddenly on October 21, 1995. Loving wife and mother and grandmother.
Memories are a gift that even death cannot destroy.
My family, don't mourn for me,
I'm still here
though you don't see,
I'm right by your side,
each night and day,
And within your heart
I long to stay.
My body is gone,
but I'm always near,
I'm everything you feel,
see or hear,
My spirit is free,
but I'll never depart,
As long as you keep me
alive in your heart.
Always remembered , forever missed. Bruce and families" [Orangeville Citizen, page B11, column 5, October 20, 1999]

"PATTON, Marge
Beloved friend, wife, mother and grandmother, Oct. 15, 1938 - Oct. 21, 1995.
Should you go first, and I remain
To walk the road alone
I'll live in memory's Garden dear
With happy days we've known.
In Spring I'll for roses red
When fades the lilac blue,
In early Fall
when brown leaves call
I'll catch a glimpse of you.
Should you go first and I remain
for battles to be fought
Each thing you've touched
along the way
Will be a hallowed spot
I'll hear your voice, I'll your smile
Though kindly I may grope
The memory
of your helping hand
Will buoy me on with hope
Should you go first and I remain
One thing I'd have you do,
Walk slowly down
that long lone path.
For when I follow you
I'll want to know
each step you take
That I may walk the same.
For someday down
that lonely road
You'll hear me call your name.
Albert Rosewell

Love eternally
