    Hello!
I found your website and want to look at it in more depth later!
I was reading your record of Martin Cathrea (Cathrae). Martin was my great great grandfather. The source for the spelling (I suspect) was taken from the 1841 Census in Scotland. (I have a photocopy of the record). However, he went by the name Cathrae during his life in Canada and his name is "Cathrae" in the 1851 Canadian Census and subsequent Census' thereafter.
The newspaper report of his death lists his birthdate as "December 31, 1824". Mary (Turnbull) Cathrae was quite a bit older than Martin, however her age is listed in the 1841 Scotland Census as 25 and the Canadian Census of 1851 as 35.
I am just sharing this with you; you may or may not wish to correct your records.
